My father is from Sydney and my mother from Rome.
They met in Vancouver and they fell in love. After 9 months they moved-in together and after two years they got married in Italy with friends and family from all over the world. Many languages were spoken at that wedding! They told me it was fun & chaotic.
We left a snowing Vancouver, and I was already growing. We visited Italy on our long journey to live in Sydney. When we arrived it was hot, and my mother was puking a lot.
My parents speak two different languages, but when they fight, mummy always wins. When they say hello, my father says "hi", and my mother says "ciao". I want grow up being able to speak both.
This is the story, so far, of Matilde Berry, a bi-lingual baby.
